as we continue our Growing for Christ Campaign at FUMC Clermont. As a church family we are going to challenge each other to donate 500 filled backpacks* for Give a Kid a Backpack Foundation.  Many of these backpacks will be distributed to kids in South Lake County. Visit www.giveakidabackpack.org for more information.   A basic filled backpack equals about $20.00. Single donations of items listed or gift cards are greatly appreciated too! Collections will be July 6-29^th in the Narthex.

1 box of 24 ct crayons or 12 ct color pencils
1 packet of wide rule paper
1 packet of college rule paper

1 packet of glue sticks

1 new backpack fits all ages, coed color (red, yellow, orange, blue, green-please no characters ie. Barbie, Batman, etc.)

Don't forget in August we will be doing our annual Florida United Methodist Children's Home drive as well.  Items needed are: personal hygiene products, linens for twin beds, batteries, hair dryers, towels and wash clothes.  These items will be collected the 1st and 2nd week of August in the Narthex.
